ActivityHero Scores $2.2M in Series A

ActivityHero, an easy way for parents to find and book after-school activities and summer camps for kids, announced today that it raised $2.2M in Series A funding led by Inventus Capital Partners.

The company plans to use this funding to further its reach throughout the Bay Area and expand to LA and Philadelphia. ActivityHero also plans to grow its team of engineers, designers, and sales and marketing professionals.

ActivityHero makes registration easy for parents and activity providers with automated communication, reviews, payment and reporting tools. In the past year, providers on the site saw a 15-30% increase in registrations.

ActivityHero was started by two moms in Silicon Valley, Shilpa Dalmia and Peggy Chang, who were frustrated with the lack of resources available to search, plan and book activities for their children all in one place.
