Alert Media Raises $4.16M Series A

Alert Media, a platform for interactive mass notification, today announced it has raised $4.16 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Silverton Partners and included backing from ATX Ventures and Capital Factory.

Alert Media will leverage the funds for product development and to grow the sales and business development staff to address growing demand for its platform. Alert Media already counts among its customers several of the largest companies in the world in telecom, manufacturing, shipping, energy, and healthcare.

‘Every large or complex organization that sees our platform in action gets very excited about the possibilities,’ said Brian Cruver, Founder and CEO of Alert Media. ‘We offer a simple fix for a wide variety of communication challenges and business needs, and our user experience is second to none.’

The company’s highly scalable, cloud-based platform and flexible API allows organizations to access the notification system from anywhere, at any time, using any device. Users engage in a real-time, two-way interaction with a large audience through a simple interface that seamlessly combines any and all channels including voice, text, app, push, and social media. While many Alert Media customers use the platform for emergency communication, the platform is also being used for day-to-day business communication and operational activities such as scheduling, dispatching and other logistics.

‘Alert Media has the advantage of offering its customers leading edge technology, as other mass notification products have become rather stale. This management team understands how mass communication should work in the multichannel world of smartphones, wearables and geolocation,’ said Morgan Flager, partner at Silverton who will be joining Alert Media’s board. ‘Nothing else on the market is as user-friendly, interactive or flexible as the Alert Media platform.’
