Artsy Draws $25M Series C Financing

According to the Wall Street Journal, Catterton is leading the $25 million Series C funding round for Artsy Inc. , the platform for art discovery Returning investors in this round include Thrive Capital, IDG Capital Partners and the Rockefeller family.

Artsy’s mission is to make all art in the world accessible to anyone with an Internet connection. We are a resource for the collection of art and education Artsy presents world-leading galleries, museum collections, foundations, artist estates, art fairs, and profit auctions, all in one place. Our growing database of 250,000 images of art, architecture and design by 40,000 artists covers historical, modern and contemporary works, and includes the largest online database of contemporary art. Artsy is used by art lovers, museum-goers, patrons, collectors, students and educators to discover, learn and collect art.
