Audax Health Closes $20M in Series B

Audax Health, a digital health company that empowers consumers to lead healthier lives, announced today that it has raised $20 million in Series B funding, led by Navigy Holdings, Inc. A wholly owned subsidiary of Florida’s largest health insurer, with additional funds from current board member Jack Rowe alongside Dan Rose, VP of Partnerships at Facebook, among others. The new capital will be primarily dedicated to product development, the expansion of Audax Health’s mobile and engineering teams in D. Uh, C And San Francisco, and strategic partnerships with the nation’s leading health insurers and providers.

‘As the healthcare industry is evolving and providers are looking for new ways to improve member engagement and wellness, we are seeing an increasing demand for a platform that not only rewards members but also inspires them to lead healthier lives,’ said Grant Verstandig, founder and CEO of Audax Health.

Since its inception in 2010, Audax Health has developed partnerships with healthcare insurers and providers-from Cigna to ValueOptions-to increase customer engagement, drive more effective wellness programs and reduce long-term healthcare costs. Zensey, the company’s flagship digital health platform, achieves all three objectives by combining the power of technology with social media on a single holistic, HIPAA-compliant platform.

Audax Health has previously raised more than $35 million in funding from corporate partners, including Cigna and Cardinal Health, and is supported by New Leaf Ventures. The Board of Directors of Audax Health also provided ongoing advice and investments, including: Roger Ferguson, current CEO of TIAA CREF; Jack Rowe, former Chairman and CEO of Aetna; and John Sculley, former CEO of Apple and President of PepsiCo.
