Bluebox Security, a stealth mobile security company, today announced the closing of the $18 million Series B funding round. Participants in this round include Tenaya Capital as well as existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Sun Microsystems co-founder Andreas Bechtolsheim and SV Angel. Brian Melton of Tenaya Capital will join the board of directors of the company Capital will be used to scale sales and marketing to meet growing market demand.

The new funding comes just before the launch and brings the total amount of the company to $27. $5 million Bluebox has already closed a $9 Series 5 million A round in July 2012.
