Slater Technology Fund, a state-backed venture capital fund in Rhode Island, announced on Wednesday it has increased its seed-stage equity investment in the smart-grid technology firm Alektrona by $200,000, to a current total of $450,000.
Alektrona specializes in unifying open-standards products within energy management systems, and helping energy solution providers better serve their customers’ energy needs. The firm’s Energy Management Platform enables the next generation of Smart Grid applications where consumer choice is a fundamental requirement. We make it easier and more reliable for smart grid companies to deliver advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), demand response (DR) management, and other energy-related applications and services.
